No Country For Hindus To Administer their own Temples

Are Hindus allowed to administer their Own Temples in India?
by Dr Manish Pandit

Is there any freedom for Hindu Temples? This is a highly important issue which perhaps very few people know about and probably not so many people really care about.
Did you know that tens of thousands of Hindu Temples in India have been taken over by various state governments?
Did you know that these state governments have maintained their illegal and unconstitutional presence for the last many decades in these temples?
Would it be ok in any other country except India?
Would it be ok if it were to happen to any other religion other than Hindus?

The Constitution of India:
The constitution of India under article 25, 26 and 29 (1) specifically allows all religious denominations to manage and administer their own religious affairs.
But in practice, Hindus have been discriminated against in many many if not most instances. In modern India, one must ask the question: Why has this happened, is there a way out, what can we do?

Do watch share and look out for this film and more films to come soon on this really important topic.
Thanks to all those who helped with this film especially Srijan Foundation and Rahul Dewan, Narendra Bharadwaj, Shakuntala Iyer, TR Ramesh, Kiran Bettadapura, Girish Bharadwaj and Varsha Iyer.

  2. Eye opener!

Resolving this should be the next item on Modi's agenda in next term.

  3. the single most important issue currently is to get the control back from Government to local trusts and Hindu committees. They will organically find ways to best administer Temples for the benefit of local populations. Let not doubts of how corruption may afflict these local societies stop us. we will find ways to check it and need no centralised interference .
